Kennedy Middle School–Ventilation Malfunction
This morning, several people in the cafeteria noticed an unusual odor. Mr. Nelson, school principal, decided to evacuate the school and call the fire department. At approximately 8:10, students were evacuated, and officials set out to determine the cause of the problem. It was determined that a fan belt connected the ventilation system in the cafeteria broke. The system has been repaired. Students re-entered the building at approximately 8:40 after the fire department determined that it was safe to do so.
Using our ConnectEd telephone system, Mr. Nelson sent a phone call to all Kennedy parents at approximately 11:00 informing them of this morning's event. We want to thank Mr. Nelson, the staff of the Kennedy Middle School, the WoburnFire Department, and the WoburnPolice Department for their skillful handling of this situation.
