Flu Update: Getting Better

Earlier in the week, I informed everyone that our attendance rates were elevated at all of our schools, and I reminded people of the procedures we have in place for students and staff who have flu-like symptoms. I'm happy to report that the absence rate has decreased considerably--particulary at some of our larger schools. My guess is that our attendance rate will continue to go through these cycles during the next several months.

I want to acknowledge the hard work of our head nurse, Marcia Skeffington, our school nurses and our school secretaries in dealing with this situation. Because of their diligence, we've seen significant improvement.
