Incident at the Kennedy Middle School

Text of a Phone Message Sent to Parents by Mr. Carl Nelson, Principal of the Kennedy Middle School:

This morning we had an incident at our school in which a student was found to be in possession of some ammunition that he had taken from his home. Upon making this discovery, the Woburn Police were immediately notified. They will be conducting their own investigation into how student was able to obtain these items. A thorough search of the students locker and backpack was done and there is no reason to believe that the child had anything other than the ammunition in his possession. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken by the school. I am confident that this was an isolated event, and the children were never in any immediate danger. If you have any questions or concerns please direct them to my office.
