Special Visit

Friday the students of the Goodyear School were treated to a visit from Harriet Tubman. The actress portraying Harriet Tubman took the students on an interactive experience sharing her life from a child to an adult, and connecting to important historic landmarks along the way. Students gained a wonderful appreciation of this important person, that holds a place in America’s history. This was made possible through the PTO Enrichment efforts, and the school would like to thank all of our families that help support the PTO throughout the year.

Great Goodyear Showings

The Goodyear School celebrated some great events recently:

*We had a high energy assembly on Friday called "Scream and Shout! Kids with Character". This show had the students up and active with an important message that supported students learning about character development and being a supportive community.

*The "Friday Night Howl" was a great success. Thanks to the hard work of our PTO and the many volunteers that helped support this evening, many families were able to enjoy this fun evening.

*The 5th grade students and parents that helped support them, created a fantastic float that represented our school community very well for the City's Halloween parade. Thank you to the parent group that volunteered hours of time to help make this possible.

Much for our "pride" to be proud of!
