PRINCIPAL’S NEWSLETTER

Please call the office if your child is not going to be in school at 781-937-8230. 

It is extremely important that your child is in school and on time every day.  The first bell rings at 7:55 a.m. and homeroom begins at 8:05 a.m.  We expect all children to be in their homerooms at the 8:05 bell.  

Please go over the student handbook with your child – in particular the areas of dress code and confiscated items (cell phones).  We have a very strict policy in regards to cell phone use and we appreciate your cooperation with this.

 The bullying prevention and intervention plan is available on the Woburn Public Schools website.  There is also a reporting form to file complaints about possible bullying issues.

 Report Cards go home on Friday, February 3^rd.

 Parent Conferences are on Wednesday, February 8^th from 2:20 – 4:20

 The next PTO meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 15^th at 6:30 in the library. 

The student/faculty basketball game will take place on Thursday, February 16^th after school  

There is no school February 20^th – 24^th.

 There is no school on Monday, January 16^th – Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

 Term 2 ends on Wednesday, January 25^th

Late Bus

I am happy to let you know that we will begin the late bus for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons starting on Tuesday, September 20th.  The bus typically picks the students up at the school between 3:00 and 3:10.  Please keep in mind that we have only one bus servicing the whole Kennedy district so we had to come up with some central bus stops. The following are the stops we will be using.

1. Nashua St/Holton St

2. Old Good Year School

3. Washington St./Washington Circle

4. Richard Circle/Russell Farm

5. Lowell St./Milyan St

6. Main St./School St

7. Main St./West Dexter 

8. Avalon Apts

Drop off & Pick up procedures

Due to all the snow we will be implementing a new drop off/pick up procedure beginning Tuesday, February 1^st.  It is extremely important that you follow the procedures as we are looking out for the safety of the students.

 In the mornings parents should pull into the front parking lot to drop off your children. Please pull all the way forward when pulling in. Do not stop on Middle St. to drop your child off.

 In the afternoons parents are asked to pull into the side parking lot and pick your child up along the side of the building.  Once again we are asking parents not to park along Middle St. to pick your child up in the afternoon.  

 We appreciate your cooperation with this and please feel free to call the school with any questions or concerns.
