College Cadets

College Cadets is a brand new club at WMHS!  It is for Juniors who are interested in finding out more about the college exploration process.  Many students struggle with preparing for SATs, figuring out which colleges to apply to, choosing a major, etc.  At the College Cadets meetings, those issues, and more, will be discussed.

Naviance is an amazing tool used here at WMHS to help students organize and track their colleges of interest, applications, letters of recommendation and much more.  In the club students will learn strategies for making the best use of Naviance. In addition, students will be given weekly challenges to help them figure out the right colleges to apply to and to enhance their skills as they prepare for their final year of high school.  As students accomplish tasks, their progress will be tracked in a fun and motivating way.

WMHS Juniors are encouraged to join this club for a variety of reasons: to help maximize their college exploration/ post-secondary planning process; to contribute to their school involvement; for friendly chats about what to do after college, and to share with and learn from their peers.
