Student Safety
Woburn Public Schools employs the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) developed by the I love U Guys Foundation. The SRP is a standard set of vocabulary and actions that can be taken to respond to any emergent situation that would require a unified response from students, staff, and district employees.

Officer Joe Wells
Hello, I am Officer Joe Wells the School Resource Officer. I provide services at the Joyce Middle School, Kennedy Middle School, Hurld Wyman, Altavesa, Linscott and St. Charles schools.
I have been the School Resource Officer for five years and a police officer for 13 years. Prior to becoming a police officer I taught Health and Physical Education in both Fitchburg and Woburn. My last teaching assignment was at the Kennedy Middle School before attending the police academy.
I was a Captain in the United States Army and served for 13 years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Other than my duties as the School Resource Officer for the Woburn Police Department, I am the Varsity Baseball Coach at Woburn Memorial High School – TANNER PRIDE!
